Flora-Bama Update

Owners of the Flora-Bama Lounge, which was damaged during Hurricane Ivan, plan to say goodbye to the old bar by holding an Irish wake on April 16. More here.

The lounge will be torn down and rebuilt, but its owners promise that the new Flora-Bama "will be just as low-rent" as the old one. They were even able to "rescue dozens of signed bras that hung from the rafters so they again can be displayed in the new building."

Also, the Flora-Bama's 20th Annual Interstate Mullet Toss is still on for this year...scheduled for the weekend of April 22.
