On this day:

A "Day Without (Illegal) Immigrants"

Supporters of amnesty for illegal aliens will hold demonstrations today in Huntsville and Dothan. The Huntsville demonstration will begin at 12:30 PM downtown. According to this report, the march will begin on Clinton Avenue, travel west to Jefferson Avenue and turn right, then hang a right on Williams Street, another right onto Monroe, ending up at the starting point on Clinton. Huntsville PD says you won't be able to get in or out of downtown between 1:30 and 3:30 this afternoon.

In other reports on today's protests around the state, the Birmingham News says "Hispanics seek to flex fiscal muscle," and the Associated Press adds that "Alabama Hispanics plan to join in national protests on Monday."
