On this day:

Another man done gone

Huntsville's "most notorious convict," Betty Wilson, is getting remarried. Back in 1992, Wilson and her twin sister Peggy were accused of hiring a carpenter named James Dennison White to kill Dr. Joe Wilson, Betty's last husband. Betty Wilson and James White were convicted of the murder; Peggy was not.

One of A&E's City Confidential episodes tells the story. I actually watched it on the Biography Channel last night. It's an interesting show, in spite of the announcer's annoying voice and a positively awful script.
