Laizzez-faire and the Great Depression

To the editors of the Annistion(Red) Star and others who cling to the misguided notion that "laizzez-faire" economic policies led to the Great Depression, and who further suspect that such policies are the source of our present economic woes, I suggest reading last week's op-ed by Amity Shlaes.
