The Grand Canyon of the South

That's what the state's tourism director calls the Walls of Jericho wilderness area in Jackson County, which has received 10,000 visitors since it opened to the public back in August.

It's definitely on my road-trip agenda...lucky for me, it's only about an hour or so away. Here are directions and a map of the area. I found some photos here (scroll down to Alabama).
