Alabama unemployment rate remains among nation's lowest

It stood at 3.3% in March, the lowest on record. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 7 states came in lower: Hawaii (2.6%), Wyoming (2.9%), Florida (3.1%), Virginia (3.1%), Idaho (3.2%), Nebraska (3.2%), and North Dakota (3.2%). Vermont and South Dakota tied with Alabama at 3.3%.

The nationwide unemployment rate for March was 4.7%.
