Little Dictator Kim Jong-Il is evidently still a little miffed by his portrayal in the soon-to-be-classic movie Team America. (Important, but little known fact: All of 5'2", Mr. Jong-Il wears four-inch lifts and platform shoes.)

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- North Korea's navy criticized South Korea Tuesday for firing warning shots to ward off one of its patrol boats, calling the action a "grave military provocation".

South Korea's military said it fired the shots Monday after North Korean patrol boats entered waters controlled by the South.

The North's navy command issued a communique accusing South Korea of purposely provoking the communist state. It said the patrol boat was on routine guard duty off the west coast.

"The South Korean armed forces deliberately committed this armed provocation, which may give rise to another skirmish in the West Sea at a time when the U.S. imperialists' moves to stifle the DPRK by force of arms have reached an extreme phase," it said.

"This crime against the nation can never be overlooked," it said, according to KCNA, the North's official news agency.

DPRK stands for Democratic People's Republic of Korea, North Korea's official name.
