Riley leads Dems Siegelman and Baxley in latest poll

The Press-Register/USA poll also pitted former Chief Justice Roy Moore against the two Democratic candidates. According to the Mobile Press-Register:

MONTGOMERY -- Gov. Bob Riley, the prohibitive favorite for the Republican Party's gubernatorial nomination, holds sizable leads over the two leading Democrats in his quest for a second term, the results of a new statewide survey suggest.

The Press-Register/University of South Alabama poll of possible election matchups showed Riley topping Lt. Gov. Lucy Baxley by 16 percentage points and former Gov. Don Siegelman by 33 percentage points. ...

The results of the pairings were:

Riley vs. Baxley: Riley 49 percent, Baxley 33 percent, undecided 18 percent.

Riley vs. Siegelman: Riley 56 percent, Siegelman 23 percent, undecided 21 percent.

Baxley vs. Moore: Baxley 50 percent, Moore 32 percent, undecided 18 percent.

Moore vs. Siegelman: Moore 39 percent, Siegelman 35 percent, undecided 26 percent.
